Landbageriet – Almost Vegan Bakery in Copenhagen

If there is something I wish we had more of it is definitely affordable and accessible plant-based options around the city. Landbageriet is a (almost) vegan bakery located in central Copenhagen next to Nørreport Station.

There is nothing better than going out on a Saturday morning for a walk, grabbing an oat cortado from café Gavlen and enjoying a pastry from Landbageriet. From what I have gathered, it is the only place in town where you can get vegan croissants with chocolate filling.

Where to find Landbageriet

What pastries can I find in Landbageriet? 

The cool thing about this bakery is that if you are visiting Copenhagen you can get a taste of authentic Danish pastries made vegan. Danish pastries often include butter and cream, and it is so amazing that one can still enjoy that authentic taste after becoming vegan.

You can find:

  • Fastelavnsboller (at least in February)
  • Croissants
  • Brownies
  • Træstammer
  • Romkugler
  • Cinnamon rolls
  • Brunsviger
  • Drømmekage

…and a lot more classical Danish options plus other interesting pastries that you may not even find in other local bakeries.

If you have never been to Denmark before and want to try something authentic – I recommend you go for the cinnamon buns and brunsviger. If it is February, then you should definitely try the vegan fastelavnsboller as it is something bakeries have only around this time of year.

Landbageriet vegan webshop

Landbageriet have a webshop where they sell some vegan products like chocolates, candies and drinks. I have personally never ordered online as I live too close to the bakery but it is an option. You can check it out here.

Also keep in mind that on their website it says that they mainly bake vegan pastries but sometimes they may have something that is not vegan on display. I have personally never seen anything non vegan but be careful either way.

You can use google translate and get an overview of their pastries and what ingredients they are using here. They are surprisingly good at providing an awesome overview of everything they use in their pastries to the last detail. You can even find what the baking powder they use consists of.
